Grace Wong's car is knocked off the road by another vehicle, and she is abducted at the scene. The kidnappers drive away with her in tow, leaving chaos behind.

The gang returns to Grace's house, kills her maid, and searches the place for any signs of Grace or friends. The crew escalates its pressure to locate her quickly.

Grace is taken to an abandoned house where she manages to repair a destroyed telephone. She uses the working phone to reach out to Bob in hopes of getting help.

Grace's plea prompts Bob to agree to assist her, and he hands the phone to patrol officer Fai. Fai initially treats the call as a prank due to Bob's reckless driving, delaying action.

Fok orders Joe, Grace's brother's friend, abducted, and forces Grace to contact her brother Roy. The operation aims to leverage Roy to apply pressure on Grace.

Grace persuades Bob to hurry to the school to locate her daughter Tinker before Fok's men reach her. Bob arrives as classes are about to end, but Tinker has already been taken.

Bob chases the abductors but loses sight during a struggle and crashes into a truck. He later discovers a handgun left in his car by a fellow debt collector, which could help him later.

Desperate to keep connected, Bob goes to a phone store to buy a charger. He ends up holding the store at gunpoint and pays for the charger, an incident captured on camera.

After being filmed at the school and the phone store, Fai goes to Grace's residence and realizes the real Grace is Mandarin-speaking while the person he's been dealing with speaks Cantonese, i.e., an impersonator.

At the hospital, Interpol agents abduct Roy and take him to a hill where Roy had hidden a camcorder. Bob intervenes, grabs the camcorder, and escapes, but loses contact with Grace in the process.

Grace fights off a henchman and locates her daughter, but the two are captured by Fok before they can escape. Grace remains resolute in protecting Tinker despite the mounting danger.

Bob reviews Roy's camcorder footage exposing Fok's corrupt acts and arranges an airport exchange for hostages and evidence. A confrontation at the airport leads to Fok's death, Cheung's death, and Bob's rescue of his family; Grace and Bob's reunion with his son follows as police close the case.
