Similola Smart-Cole grows frustrated with Sunmi's sloth and apathy, repeatedly warning him to change. The tension foreshadows a breaking point as the mother-son relationship strains under expectations and disappointments.

Sunmi is arrested for allegedly breaking into his mother's property and is stunned by the total denunciation from family, friends, and acquaintances. He learns that Similola is barred from returning to the family home, leaving him isolated.

Abandoned in the streets, Sunmi begins to beg for survival until Todowede recognizes him. The cynical bread hawker had previously warded off Smart-Cole's guard, hinting at a history between them.

Todowede takes Sunmi to her mini-flat in the hoi polloi neighbourhood and offers shelter on the condition that he pays his own way. Sunmi agrees, starting a difficult adjustment to a new, humbler life.

Todowede continuously derides Sunmi as he struggles to adapt to life as a bag carrier. Despite the mockery, Sunmi shows resilience and slowly begins to find purpose in his new position.

Todowede introduces Sunmi to Jugunu, who offers him a job in a bakery. Sunmi proves diligent, and Jugunu's approval signals a real breakthrough for his prospects.

Todowede falls ill with malaria, and Sunmi nurses her back to health. Once recovered, they celebrate Todowede's birthday, a gesture that deeply touches him.

Sunmi drafts a business plan and pitches it to Jugunu, whose support leads to a successful franchise. The victory marks a turning point in Sunmi's fortunes and cements his new partnership.

Riski Baby makes advances toward Sunmi, complicating the budding romance. At the same time, Caliltus—Todowede's ex-boyfriend who previously cheated on her—adds a layer of jealousy and conflict.

The unlikely pair from different worlds—Sunmi and Todowede—overcome obstacles and move into a bigger home together. Their bond strengthens as they navigate social differences.

Aunty Agy visits Todowede's newly established store and is shocked to find Sunmi there. She reveals that Sunmi's family has been searching for him for five years, prompting Sunmi to demand she leave.

Sunmi collapses and wakes up in hospital, realizing his entire experience had been a dream. The moment reframes the events as a dream-sequence inside his coma.

Imilola visits Sunmi and explains how he stormed out during a family argument and ended up in a car accident that put him in a coma. Sunmi recounts his alternate-universe experiences during the coma and credits Todowede as a friend from that dream.

On discharge, Sunmi sees Todowede selling bread with his mother driving them home, and he asks his mother to come to his house by 9 AM the next day, a request she grudgingly agrees to. The moment signals a renewed intention to bridge the past with the future.

In the post-credits scene, Sunmi pitches his bakery plans to his mother while Aunty Agy arrives with Todowede waiting outside, hinting at ongoing collaboration and unresolved family ties.
