An armed priest and two others drive a hobo and his companions out of their underground hideouts. The violent eviction sets a grim tone and signals that unseen powers are enforcing order in a dangerous city. The displaced group moves toward a new, unstable chapter in their lives.

Anton appears at the door of a mansion and claims Marina nursed him in hospital. He asks for food and a bath, and Richard responds with violent anger. Marina, driven by guilt and curiosity, decides to help and offers him shelter in the garden shed.

While Richard is away, Anton befriends Marina and all three children in the garden and around the house. He reveals an unsettling ability to influence Marina's dreams, shaping her perceptions of her husband. Under his spell, Marina grows closer to Anton and begins to despise Richard.

Marina, who hoped to be with Camiel, is poisoned by him after attempting resistance. She and Richard are buried under the garden, marking the complete dissolution of the couple. Camiel's control over the family appears total as the estate becomes a site of ritual burial.

Camiel, his team, Stine, and the children depart into the forest, leaving the ruined family behind. The exit signals a shift to a hidden life beyond the house and garden. The final note hints at the persistence of their influence in the world outside.
