Tyler is a driven outdoorsman whose fiancée Natalie disappears during a camping trip, propelling him into a relentless search. Fresh from a stay in a psych ward, he returns with camping gear and a rifle, determined to uncover the truth behind the Beast and the forest’s secrets. He improvises tools, booby-traps, and strategies to survive escalating danger. His resolve tests the boundaries of endurance, loyalty, and sanity as the forest closes in.

Natalie is Tyler’s girlfriend, whose abduction during the camping trip sets the entire quest in motion. Although she is absent for most of the film, her engagement ring found in the dirt becomes a symbol of their bond and the stakes of the search. Her fate drives the emotional core of the story and motivates Tyler's return to the forest.
