During the first summer at Spirit of the Frontier, Dabney and Cosmo torment Bruce during hikes, obstacle courses, and chores. Their attitude problems linger and even worsen as the season ends. They are oddly proud that their behavior hasn't improved, and they accept they'll have to return next year.

At the next summer’s airport, the campers reunite with three other kids and a counselor, while Norman Decker is seen walking his doberman. Mr. Bane delivers a briefcase to Decker, and Katyana and Jurgen observe with growing intent to kidnap him for a billion-dollar ransom. The setup foreshadows the hijacking plan.

Jenny pays the counselor to get lost and James reveals that Bruce was tied up in a cleaning closet. Angela is quiet, wearing headphones, while Dabney and Cosmo join the others as they are chased by security and slip aboard Decker's plane.

Katyana and Jurgen board the aircraft to kidnap Decker. They exchange gunfire with police as they seal the door, but they can't locate Decker and assume the kids are with him, so they radio a demand for one billion dollars.

Cosmo explains that his dad's pilot sometimes lets him fly, and, while taxiing on the runway, he accidentally takes off. The hijackers and the new aerial passengers realize they're airborne and direction of the plan shifts.
