The innovative research on infant cognition helps fund BabyCo's extravagant theme park, Joyworld. This theme park becomes a central site that connects multiple characters and their stories throughout the film.

Dr. Kinder and her team begin observing a select group of extraordinary infants adopted from orphanages. Their goal is to understand how the remarkable Babytalk dissipates as infants transition to human language.

Among the infants, Sylvester showcases remarkable abilities and escapes from the research facility by sneaking onto a diaper truck. His adventure leads him to Joyworld, where he accidentally discovers his long-lost twin brother, Whit.

In a twist of fate, Dr. Kinder's team mistakenly identifies Whit as Sylvester. They transport Whit back to the research facility, causing confusion as neither sibling knows of the other's existence.
