Secret Headquarters

The Kincaid family consists of father Jack, his wife Lily, and their son Charlie (originally played by Louie Chaplin Moss). While on an overnight camping trip, they encounter U.S. Air Force Captain Sean Irons, who, while injured, is on a quest to find a powerful artifact linked to their location. As Jack tries to assist him, they stumble upon a wrecked aircraft from which a mysterious glowing orb emerges, selecting Jack as its guardian before the plane self-destructs.

This electrifying event transforms Jack into a superhero known as The Guard, but as he dedicates himself to his newfound role, he increasingly becomes distant from his family. This emotional neglect culminates in a divorce from Lily, leaving Charlie to stay with his mother. Fast forward ten years, Charlie, now portrayed by Walker Scobell, has matured but grapples with the absence of his father. He’s enlisted in his school’s baseball team alongside his loyal best friend Barry Berger and harbors a crush on Maya, a girl whose relocation Charlie blames on a childhood mishap.

During a baseball game, a bully named Forrest Deal, also known as “The Sequoia,” aggressively hits a ball into Charlie’s stomach, an event that complicates their close-knit friendship. After this, Charlie is driven home by Berger’s brother Big Mac, as he prepares for a birthday visit to Jack. Despite his excitement about seeing his father, deep down, Charlie feels rejected by Jack’s continuous unavailability, even as he idolizes The Guard.

When he arrives at Jack’s house, he receives a baseball mitt as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, it turns out to be for the wrong hand, revealing Jack’s obliviousness to Charlie’s skills. Later, they bond over video games until Jack is abruptly called away for work. Feeling disappointed, Charlie cleverly fakes a call to his mom, secretly reaching out to Berger for an alternative plan.

An unexpected twist occurs when Berger surprises Charlie by inviting Lizzie and Maya over. In a curious exploration of Jack’s basement, the kids discover a high-tech lab filled with gadgets and documents detailing The Guard’s heroics. This revelation sparks Charlie’s realization that his father is indeed The Guard, propelling them into a fun-filled adventure laden with gadgets.

However, not all is well; Ansel Argon, the CEO of Argon Tactical, aims to exploit The Guard’s power for nefarious purposes. His pursuit leads to imminent dangers, requiring the kids to confront him alongside Irons, who is now entangled with Argon’s schemes.

As the kids start experimenting with Jack’s gadgets, they find themselves in increasingly tricky situations, especially when trapped by Argon’s mercenaries. In a thrilling climax, the kids hatch a plan where Charlie uses a fake power source to fool Argon. A series of events unfold involving teamwork, intelligence, and bravery, with Charlie admitting his romantic feelings for Maya during a perilous moment.

The action escalates as Argon disrupts the school’s dance, intent on capturing the real power source. The Kincaid family must unite to thwart Argon’s malicious plan, leading to a stunning showdown highlighted by Jack donning his suit to fight. In a final act of courage, Charlie throws a grenade at Argon, triggering an essential explosion that propels him into another dimension.

In the aftermath, as Charlie and Maya share their first kiss, the Kincaids mend their fragmented familial bond, signifying the start of their adventures together. With hints of future escapades and character resolutions, the Kincaids evolve into a crime-fighting family, while Argon remains trapped—an unresolved enemy—adding depth to this enchanting tale.
