Athisaya Piravi

Kaalaiyan lives in poverty with his widowed mother and struggles to make ends meet. He falls in love with Sumathi, a girl from a wealthier family, but Murukesh vehemently disapproves of the match because of class differences. The clash between love and social status sets the stage for the coming conflict.

Murukesh and his ally hatch a plan to destroy Kaalaiyan by tricking him into believing he will marry Sumathi. They manipulate events and trap him in their deceit. The scheme leads to Kaalaiyan being killed.

Kaalaiyan dies as the plan unfolds and his spirit ascends to the underworld. He meets Yama, the Lord of Death, and explains that his death was a mistake. Yama decides to restore him to life by sending him back in the form of an identical-bodied man.

Kaalaiyan is reborn as Balu, a mild-mannered villager, starting life anew with his widowed mother and his sweetheart Gauri. He adapts to his new circumstances while carrying memories of a past life only faintly returning. He resolves to protect his new family and set things right.

Balu begins navigating his new life and the care of his mother and Gauri. He also faces ill-treatment from his uncle Chinnasamy, his aunt, and cousin Periyasaamy, who seek to control or harm him and his mother. The stage is set for Balu to confront them and reclaim his dignity.

Murukesh, revealed as an old friend of Chinnasamy, visits the household and triggers a flood of memories in Balu about his previous life as Kaalaiyan. At once he rushes to the old place where Murukesh's goons are harassing the local area. When the guards see him alive, they are astonished and flee, realizing Balu is no ordinary villager.

Balu explains to his biological mother and Sumathi the complete story of his reincarnation and how his past life led to his murder. The revelation deepens their belief in him and strengthens their resolve to stand by him. The family begins to unite around the revived Kaalaiyan's identity.

Gauri arrives in Chennai, searching for Balu, which creates comic tension as he tries to manage two lovers at once. He struggles to balance his loyalty to Sumathi with his new life as Balu. The romantic complications intersect with the larger quest for revenge.

With the guidance of Chitragupta, Balu lays out a plan to outshine Murukesh in wealth and humiliate him as punishment for past wrongs. He devises schemes to elevate his own standing while cornering Murukesh financially and socially. The plan marks a calculated path toward revenge.

Balu's paternal relatives arrive in Chennai, bringing a tangle of identities and loyalties into the already crowded situation. The overlapping lives threaten to expose both Kaalaiyan's and Balu's stories. Murukesh seizes the chaos to tighten his grip over the families.

Murukesh captures both families and makes a final attempt on Balu's life. Balu uses the truth of his reincarnation and the revenge plan to fight back. The confrontation builds to a climactic showdown.

Balu thwarts Murukesh's schemes and completes his revenge for the injustices of his past life. He protects his loved ones and restores a sense of justice. The tale closes with balance restored between the families and a vindicated Balu.
