Allu Ramendran

Police driver Ramendran Kunchacko Boban leads a quiet, routine life with his wife Chandini Sreedharan as Viji, and with his father and sister Swathy Aparna Balamurali. His days are punctuated by a peculiar nuisance: his jeep inexplicably acquires nails on the road, causing punctures that never happen to anyone else behind the wheel. The local nickname he earns is clear and stubbornly persistent: he becomes known as Allu Ramendran for the constant spike-intruded misfortune that follows him. This odd problem drives him to inspect every puncture closely, hoping to uncover a hidden pattern or a single culprit who targets him alone.

One day, while he’s surveying a roadside puncture, Ramendran glimpses a man he almost catches in the act of placing nails, but the moment slips away. In the scuffle that follows, he recovers a wallet bearing a childhood photo, yet the owner remains a mystery. The incident, combined with the continual mishaps around his vehicle, forces Ramendran to take a leave from duty. At home, his sister Swathy is in love with a man named Jithu, an unemployed youngster who is optimistic about a Dubai interview. Jithu, however, is not currently job-ready, and the news of Swathy’s potential betrothal creates a tense, hopeful atmosphere as the family begins to explore the idea of an arranged marriage.

The family’s attempts to smooth things over hinge on a clever ruse: Jithu is asked to enter the family through a proposed match, even as Ramendran struggles with the truth that Jithu is Swathy’s beloved. When Swathy’s family arrives at Jithu’s home, Ramendran discovers old photos that reveal Jithu’s hidden connection to their world. Confronted by the truth, Jithu admits he was the nail culprit all along. He explains that on the day of his Dubai interview, he parked a bike in front of a tea shop; meanwhile, Ramendran, in pursuit of a runaway accused Amruthesh, borrowed that bike. In a moment of panic, Ramendran left the bike on the roadside, his certificates dirtied and useless, and Jithu retaliated by placing spikes to get back at him. To win Swathy’s hand, Jithu endures a gauntlet of petty humiliations—two self-goals in a local football match, a stint begging on the street—yet Ramendran remains reluctant to approve their union.

After Ramendran returns to duty, a new setback arises: on his very first day transporting a gun to the court, a spike reappears, and a chase ends with the custodial weapon stolen from the jeep. Ramendran is suspended again, convinced that Jithu is behind the mischief. The tension shifts when he spots Amruthesh Sreenath Bhasi (who had moved to Bangalore after the initial trouble) and follows him, only to be attacked by Amruthesh’s goons. In a turn of events, Jithu arrives to protect Ramendran, and the missing gun is eventually recovered from Amruthesh. The mystery begins to unravel, and the path to resolution becomes clear: Swathy and Jithu marry, uniting the families and finally easing the long-standing tensions.

With the couple’s wedding behind them, Ramendran and Jithu begin to redefine their relationship as family. The end traffic of the tale returns to the same street where the spikes began, with Ramendran tracking a suspect who supposedly keeps spikes for the wedding vehicle of Swathy and Jithu. Jithu trails along, aware that his own future could be called into question by any misstep, yet the shared bond between Ramendran and Jithu grows stronger as they move forward together.

In the aftermath, the story tracks a subtle, enduring shift: a once-contentious detective and a newly bonded family navigating the echoes of a long-standing feud—fragile, hopeful, and ultimately resolved by loyalty, reconciliation, and the quiet humor that underpins everyday life.
