Billy Ford Tobin Bell is a solitary widower whose tranquil life is spent in a secluded cabin by a picturesque pond. One night his peace is shattered when a young man named Nick Wolfe [Jason Mac] barges into his home, armed and desperate, demanding shelter from the police. Nick needs a place to lie low after an armed robbery, and he also must tend to a gunshot wound he sustained during the crime. Despite his bluster, he isn’t the hardened felon he pretends to be.
