Zenon: The Zequel

Zenon shows Nebula Wade a new game, but the demonstration accidentally empties Commander Plank's office. As punishment, she is assigned to work detail in the Alien Patrol lab, marking the start of a more disciplined routine aboard the station.

General Hammond assigns Zenon to look after his daughter Margie, a pushy and competitive rival. The two girls clash as Margie pressures Zenon to prove herself, setting up a tense, playful rivalry.

Aunt Judy, a peacekeeper with humor, tries to smooth over the growing tensions between Zenon and Margie. Her warmth helps keep the environment buoyant despite the rivalries.

A signal from Earth hints at aliens seeking Proto Zoa. Zenon and Margie formulate a plan to track down the elusive star, gathering Nebula Wade, Orion, Proto Zoa, Aunt Judy, and Zenon’s mother Astrid to join the mission.

The crew sets off toward the Moon on a dangerous mission. Their ship runs low on fuel and nearly crashes, but the crisis is averted when the arrival of the friendly aliens saves them.

Zenon encounters the Moon’s alien visitors face-to-face and learns they have been lost in space for three years. The aliens communicate telepathically and request the ship’s navigation charts rather than forcing their way.

After persuading the aliens to take the charts, the group returns toward the space station. The mission tests their courage and teamwork as they navigate back through space.

Back at the station, the crew finds sabotage has left the station in a fragile state that makes staying in orbit dangerous. General Hammond remains intent on withdrawing for safety.

Margie pushes back against the containment and advocates for resilience and action. Her resolve sparks a shift in the dynamic aboard the station.

The visiting aliens return and lend their aid, pushing the station back into a stable orbit and restoring previously decommissioned sections. Their gesture marks a turning point in the crisis.

Commander Plank and General Hammond strike a working arrangement to share command in the face of the crisis. The arrangement signals a new balance of leadership aboard the station.

Plank and Aunt Judy marry in a ceremony conducted by Proto Zoa, who dedicates a new song to Zenon to symbolize renewed hope. The wedding also marks a milestone in the alliance with the aliens.

It is revealed that the aliens had been trying to contact Zenon all along, using Proto Zoa’s old concert as a beacon. The revelation reframes the mission as a personal coming-of-age moment for Zenon.

Margie chooses to remain on the station and forms a genuine friendship with Zenon. The two girls' rivalry shifts toward camaraderie as they plan future adventures.

Zenon finds a possible romance in Orion, the scientist who helped guide the mission. The bond hints at further adventures and growth for Zenon beyond this crisis.
