Touching story about a white Gordon Setter with a black ear, owned by aging hunter Ivan Ivanovich, who takes the puppy Bim on hunts despite its “shame of nature.” When Ivan falls gravely ill and is hospitalized, Bim leaves home to search for his master, embarking on a series of adventures and encounters that culminate in a poignant, heartbreaking conclusion.
