Egor Polushkin (Stanislav Lyubshin) is a gentle, artistic family man living in a remote village, adored by nature but regarded as a walking disaster by his wife (Nina Ruslanova) and neighbors, who dub him “Bedonosec” – a bearer of misfortune. Only his son (Viktor Anisimov) shares his love for life’s beauty. When Egor is appointed the new forest ranger, his newfound joy of protecting the woods, especially a flock of pristine white swans, soon clashes with the selfish designs of others, bringing unforeseen hardship.
