A farm‑raised gray wolf kills the family dog, and to spare the animal from being put down, the boy Lasset escorts it on a 300‑mile trek north to a wilderness sanctuary. The entire soundtrack is Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings, giving the simple, heartfelt drama about their friendship a moving, lyrical atmosphere. The plot is straightforward, yet the music and sincere tone make the film emotionally resonant.
