In 1945, a US Army plane flying over Germany's Black Forest encounters a strange phenomenon. The crew witnesses a whirlwind of mysterious feathers that causes the aircraft to lose control and plummet towards the ground.

Later that night, Sgt. Brewer gathers his squad to discuss a critical rescue mission. They are tasked with locating the crew from the downed plane, but their meeting is disrupted by Maj. Johnson and his associate Walsh.

As the squad prepares for the mission, Maj. Johnson brings in Walsh, who is responsible for disposing of crucial intelligence that was lost with the aircraft. This addition adds tension among the team as they ready themselves for the treacherous journey ahead.

The team sets off into the dense and dangerous Black Forest, gearing up for their critical mission. Walsh learns about Morgan, the squad's medic, who stands out as the only African American among the primarily white soldiers.

The soldiers stumble upon a decaying and isolated cottage during their search. Inside, they spot four enchanting women, and Rucker is particularly drawn to one named Stria, who bears an uncanny resemblance to the mysterious woman from the feathers.

As the team sets up camp, Brewer attempts to contact Maj. Johnson but is met with a mysterious voice on the radio. The voice warns the soldiers to evacuate the forest before it claims more lives, signaling danger ahead.

Stria lures Rucker away from his squad to the wreckage site of their plane. Despite his initial attraction, Rucker soon finds himself ensnared by her seductive powers, which threaten to separate him from his comrades.

When Rucker attempts to escape Stria’s grasp, she reveals her true, terrifying form. Overwhelmed with fear, Rucker shoots her in a desperate attempt to save himself, retreating back to his squad for safety.

As the remaining soldiers navigate the forest, they find their initials carved into the trees, marking their grim fate. Awed and terrified, they also hear ominous cawing sounds, hinting at the presence of adjacent supernatural forces.

With the group dwindling, Walsh and Freeman find themselves as the last two soldiers alive. They rediscover the cottage and manage to radio Maj. Johnson with their coordinates, holding onto a thread of hope for rescue.

In a moment of clarity, Walsh reveals to Freeman that their true mission was to locate the legendary Tree of Life. This entity is said to grant immortality, but it is fiercely guarded by the enigmatic women they have encountered.

As they come to terms with their revelation, the mysterious women attack, overwhelming Walsh and Freeman. The desperation of their fight becomes apparent as they attempt to fend off the supernatural assailants.

In the midst of chaos, Walsh fights valiantly but ultimately finds himself at the mercy of the witches. With Freeman incapacitated and the situation becoming dire, the soldiers' struggle for survival reaches its tragic conclusion.

In the final moments, the witches emerge victorious over the last remnants of the squad. Their relentless pursuit and sinister powers lead to an end where no soldier remains to tell their tale, enveloping the forest in a haunting silence.
