Vijay Mathew, a 69-year-old retired swimming coach, leads a solitary life in Delhi, deeply affected by the passing of his beloved wife. His days are filled with quiet routines and memories of the past, leaving him feeling lost and without purpose.

While sifting through his late wife's belongings, Vijay stumbles upon an old journal she had kept. Inside, he finds a heartfelt list of dreams she had envisioned for him, which reignites a flicker of ambition within him.

Among the dreams listed in the journal, Vijay is struck by the challenge of completing a full triathlon. Despite his age and failing health, he decides to take on this daunting task in honor of his late wife, reigniting his zest for life.

Vijay begins his journey by jogging around the neighborhood park, but quickly realizes how unfit he has become. He faces difficulty with breathlessness and joint pain, yet his resolve grows stronger as he interacts with his supportive friend Prakash.

Determined to succeed, Vijay seeks help from Kabir, a young and confident fitness trainer at a local gym. Initially hesitant and dismissive, Kabir is inspired by Vijay's persistence and agrees to coach him through his training.

The training regimen is grueling, involving swimming, cycling, and running to push Vijay's limits. Although he shows promise, he faces numerous physical challenges as his body struggles to keep up with the demands of preparation.

Vijay’s body starts to show wear and tear, with an old knee injury flaring up and exhaustion setting in. Despite a collapse from dehydration during a long cycling session and concerns from family, his determination remains unwavering.

The day of the triathlon finally arrives, consisting of a challenging 1.5 km swim, a 40 km bike ride, and a 10 km run. Amongst a sea of competitors, Vijay stands out as the oldest participant, inspiring curiosity and admiration.

As he enters the cold water for the swim, Vijay finds himself outmatched by younger competitors. Despite initial panic following an unexpected hit from another swimmer, he leans on his wife's encouraging words and pushes through, emerging exhausted but proud.

During the cycling segment, Vijay grapples with resurgent knee pain that threatens to derail his efforts. Just when he considers quitting, he catches sight of Prakash and Kabir cheering him on, which reignites his motivation to persist.
