Vendetta

While William stops to order dinner, Kat is left alone in the car. Rory and Danny drag her outside and declare they want her soul; Danny shoots and kills her. Police soon arrest the brothers, but William refuses to identify Danny, allowing him to go free.

The following night, William stalks Danny, runs him down with his car, and finishes him with a softball bat. He returns home, cleans his car and the bat, and disposes of the bloody garments. He later washes blood from his shirt and breaks down at the horror of what he's done.

Rory is informed of Danny's death and rushes to the scene. Detective Chen investigates the case, learns Danny's identity, and visits William, asking where he was that night. William claims he was at home and asks if he's a suspect; Chen says he's not, but asks him to call if he thinks of anything.

Rory questions a prostitute who tried to solicit William at the site of Danny's death. After confirming William's identity from a photo, Rory and his henchman ambush William at a coffee shop. William manages to kill the henchman but loses his wallet.

William confesses to his wife Jen about the killings, and she urges him not to return to his old ways. She suggests they run away together to escape the danger and start fresh.

Rory and Donnie lay an ambush, shooting at William and Jen. Jen is killed, and William is left to die from his wounds in the attack.

William regains consciousness in the hospital. Detective Chen visits and hands him a file on Donnie and Rory, hinting at a path to justice and revenge.

William escapes the hospital in a janitor outfit and quickly secures new clothes and money from a bank. He moves to a motel and meets Dante, an arms dealer who lost a cousin to Donnie, sparking his turn toward arming up and preparation.

With new weapons, William tracks down a Rory henchman and forces him to reveal Donnie's location, then shoots the henchman to death.

Donnie learns of the henchman's death and orders Rory to kill William. Rory and his gang set out to locate him, escalating the pursuit.

William infiltrates Donnie's club, confronts Donnie, and kills him. He then uses Donnie's phone to call Rory and inform him that Donnie is dead, signaling the start of a final confrontation.

Dante learns of the ambush and helps William. Rory's gang clashes with Dante's forces in a brutal shootout; all gang members on both sides are killed, Rory kills Roach, and the stalemate leaves William and Rory to face each other.

Rory shoots William in the stomach, but William grabs a screwdriver and stabs Rory in the neck, killing him. Dante survives, and Chen arrives to speak with William as his life fades.

William dies from his injuries while having avenged his family by destroying the Fetter clan and their gang. Chen reflects on the cost of revenge, and the ending screen delivers the line about exacting revenge being an absolute duty.
