At a relative's funeral, Prakash is smitten by Yathramma's beauty at first sight. He soon learns she is older, married, and has a son named Yathra, which complicates his feelings.

During a heated argument with her husband, Yathramma accidentally kills him with a blow of a wooden plank. She panics, hides the body in the fridge, steals some money, and leaves with Yathra.

She lands on Prakash's doorstep, posing as someone in need and asking him to take care of Yathra for a few hours. Her plea is urgent and persuasive, and Prakash, despite his doubts, agrees to help.

They travel to Nagercoil to repay the borrowed money, and Prakash agrees to accompany them on a longer multi-city route. The voyage unsettles his routine and deepens his involvement with Yathramma.

During the journey, their bond deepens and they become intimate. The proximity raises questions about the boundaries of their relationship.

One day, Yathramma makes a suicide attempt, but locals rescue her. Subsequently she confesses that she killed her husband and reveals she has grown close enough to Prakash to want to leave Yathra with him.

When questioned, Yathra blurts out that Prakash and Yathramma had sex, shocking him. Moments later, a truck crashes into their car, killing Yathramma.

Prakash is detained by the police along with Tanya, a Bolivian woman with fake passports. Tanya fights the cops and helps them escape to a resort, where she offers him solace.

Using fake passports, Tanya ferries Prakash and Yathra to Papua New Guinea. They embark on a series of adventures across land, water, mountains, and rivers in search of freedom and fulfillment.

Back in India, police uncover a video confession from Yathramma confirming Prakash's innocence. The discovery relieves his family and alters the legal outcome.

Tanya travels on, leaving Prakash and Yathra in a remote village where aborigines welcome them. Her departure marks a new phase of independence for them.

During a river rafting trip, the raft capsizes; Prakash is knocked away and drifts under water, but he survives. He later finds Yathra and realizes that he loves her as his own child, vowing to protect her.

They travel back to India where Prakash's family finally accepts Yathra. He returns to work transformed, and the memories of Yathramma and Tanya guide him toward a more balanced life.

Prakash cherishes the lessons from his journeys and the people who changed him. The film closes on his resolve to keep a balance between work, family, and adventure.
