Tara Agarwal, a famous news anchor, interviews a prostitute after the latter reveals that a famous businessman wants to marry her. Julie, a simple Goan girl, lives with her father who runs a bakery. She is in a relationship with Neil, who dreams of becoming a big-shot businessman. Julie isn’t content with a modest income, and she watches as Neil travels to Mangalore for a business deal. She views his absence as a sign of responsibility and starts to hope he might truly become someone who can provide. But the tides shift when Neil returns as a successful Goa-based businessman, now engaged to Braganza’s daughter after aligning himself as a business partner—thus bridging status and family ties through a marriage of convenience.
