Paul Taylor, known as Stingray, is left by his wife Anna after he rapes her, a trauma that triggers a psychotic break. He begins kidnapping women who resemble his ex-wife, torturing them and gouging their eyes before returning their bodies to crime scenes.

Kristi's sister becomes one of Stingray's victims, heightening the personal stakes for Kristi. Desperate for justice, Kristi seeks the help of Detective Nick DiMarco to pursue the killer.
