Amar Shah Raqesh Bapat’s sudden death in India sends shockwaves through the Canada-based Shah Industries, leaving the company on the verge of collapse. Pia Shah Sandali Sinha, Amar’s fiancée and the Managing Director, is devastated as the family mourns: Girdhari Shah [Vikram Gokhale] stands in shock and distant, Amar’s sister and grandmother grieve, and Inspector D’Mello pushes to uncover the truth despite indifference from higher-ups.
Months later, a highly respected business worker named Shekhar Malhotra [Priyanshu Chatterjee] offers to rebuild and restore Shah Industries without any compensation, claiming Amar met him in India and proposed the arrangement before his death. He is given the chance and throws himself into the uphill task of making the company viable again. Gradually, Shekhar heals the gaping wound left by Amar’s death, and the family comes to accept him as part of the clan, while he quietly falls in love with Pia.
What none of them—except Bosco [Rajesh Khera], Shekhar’s friend in Canada—know is that it was Shekhar’s jeep that accidentally hit Amar after he swerved to avoid an innocent girl who had walked onto the road. Ridden by guilt, he travels to Canada to confess, determined to do whatever he can for the family.
Abhigyan—Abhi Gyan [Himanshu Malik]—is a wealthy Canadian industrialist who meets Pia and realizes that she might be the right woman for him. He begins to consider proposing and helping to rebuild Shah Industries. But Pia has already fallen for Shekhar, and a tension arises as Abhi’s offer to take over the company clashes with the evolving relationship between Pia and Shekhar. Eventually, Shekhar decides to return to India, convinced that Pia does not need his help anymore.
Pia stops Shekhar at the airport and confesses her feelings, but Shekhar denies them and boards the plane. Devastated, Pia becomes engaged to Abhi. Inspector D’Mello arrives from India in search of Amar’s killer and arrests Shekhar, and the waiting family, including Bosco, braces for what comes next. Then a crucial call: Shekhar reaches Pia and reveals how much he loves her, admitting that he was the one who hit Amar. In a drunken state, he also meets with an accident.
Pia feels guilty about falling for the man who caused Amar’s death and confesses this to Girdhari, who speaks for the first time since his son’s passing. He tells her that Shekhar had told him the truth from the start and that he believes in him. Amar’s family then helps Pia see how much Shekhar has done for them, recognizing that he is as much a brother to Amar as anyone. Abhi urges Pia to return to Shekhar, and he is consoled by his uncle. D’Mello, witnessing the family at the hospital, realizes they need Shekhar more than the law does and quietly closes the case. The movie ends with Shekhar recovering and reuniting with Pia.
