Kellie and Abby mourn their mother Lexy. Kellie finds Lexy’s necklace and discovers it can move objects. She starts to suspect the necklace is connected to Lexy’s spirit.

The totem first moves objects, knocking down trophies in Kellie’s room, and startling the family. James suspects Kellie and interprets the events as sabotage of his relationship with Robin. Kellie tries to explain the strange happenings, hoping to calm the tension in the house.

Robin moves in and tries to normalize life by taking over chores. Kellie feels uncomfortable with the disruption but tries to be kind to her sister. The growing strain between Kellie, Robin, and the haunting intensifies as the presence seems to respond to the household.

During track practice Kellie glimpses a standing corpse wrapped in plastic on the bleachers. The vision hints at a darker, lingering presence connected to the house. The experience unsettles Kellie and deepens her fear about what is haunting them.

Back home, Robin experiences a disturbing incident involving hair and trauma, signaling that the entity is affecting more people. She becomes visibly unsettled, while Kellie struggles to keep the family together. The haunting's reach begins to affect family members directly.

Bernard, Lexy’s father, visits and meets Robin. He learns that Robin knew Lexy and James as a mutual friend, linking the haunting to a longer family history. This revelation raises the stakes for what the family might uncover.

Kellie hangs Christmas ornaments on every door and rigs motion detectors to record evidence of the entity. The cat’s movements trigger the detectors, causing frantic beeps and heightening the tension in the house. The cat finally escapes, signaling that the haunting may be drawing the family into danger.

Kellie threatens to burn the totem to drive away the entity. In retaliation, the entity causes a bookcase to fall, crushing the cat. The moment proves the danger is real and that the spirit will harm the innocent to protect itself.

The entity strengthens and makes a bid to abduct Abby. The family tries to flee and calls Bernard for help, but he initially refuses to believe their story. After hearing hints it may be his late daughter, he races back into the house to confront the danger.

Todd arrives with information on how to destroy totems and help defend the family. Kellie hides him in her room to keep him safe, while she blames Robin for the escalating chaos. The two siblings' conflict and the danger around them push the night toward its breaking point.

During the crisis, Kellie deprives Bernard of his inhaler, draining the puffs and leaving him to die. His death removes a potential ally and raises the emotional and physical stakes for everyone. Kellie remains determined to protect her secrets and the totem.

Robin discovers a wedding ring hidden in the base of one of Kellie’s trophies. Kellie coldly tells her that her mother was weak and that her father needed someone stronger. She pushes Robin into a bathtub, where Robin hits her head and seems to drown.

Kellie tails Todd and knocks him unconscious, killing him instantly. She rushes to pull Abby out of the crawlspace where she had hidden. Their father arrives, sees the bodies, and realizes Kellie is responsible for the killings.

James tries to reason with Kellie as she tries to destroy the totem. Kellie declares they belong together, and Robin wakes to help save James and Abby. The struggle ends with the mother’s spirit appearing and unsettling Kellie, delaying her attack.

The three are in a tiny house parked in a deserted, serene location. They seem to be getting better, though Abby continues to speak to someone, suggesting the supernatural presence might still be with them. The sense of safety is fragile, but a semblance of peace has returned.
