Tornado

The story begins with a young woman named Tornado, who is fleeing from a relentless gang of highwaymen led by Sugarman. As she escapes, panic and urgency drive her to seek refuge.

Tornado stumbles upon a remote mansion and slips inside to hide from her pursuers. Shortly after her arrival, the gang bursts into the mansion, searching threateningly for her and overriding the family that lives there.

While hiding in an upstairs room, Tornado witnesses chaos below as one of the gang members falls through the rotting floorboards. This incident provides her with the chance to escape to the nearby hills.

In the wilderness, Tornado finds a traveling circus and hides among the performers. Here, she reconnects with an old friend, a strongman, establishing a moment of temporary safety and camaraderie.

The narrative shifts back in time to show Tornado as a young girl traveling with her father, Fujin. Fujin, a former swordsman, trains her in swordplay while they perform puppet shows together.

During one of the shows, Tornado observes a boy in the audience skillfully picking pockets. Although she remains silent about his actions, this boy will play a significant role in the unfolding events.

The narrative returns to Sugarman and his gang after they successfully execute a major gold heist. Among the gang is Little Sugar, Sugarman's son, who grows increasingly uncomfortable with their violent lifestyle.

As the gang travels through the forest, they encounter the same circus where Tornado and her father are staying. The young pickpocket appears again and cleverly steals the gang's gold without being detected.

After witnessing the theft, Tornado promptly chases the boy to her father's wagon. In a bid to retrieve the stolen gold, she forcibly throws him out onto the road as the gang closes in.

As Sugarman confronts Fujin back at the wagon, a fierce fight breaks out which ultimately leads to Fujin's death, though he manages to wound Sugarman. Tornado, devastated, escapes once more.

When Sugarman's gang attacks the circus, chaos ensues. They destroy the surroundings, shoot the strongman, and kill a young knife-thrower, marking a devastating turn in Tornado's life.

Amidst the chaos, Little Sugar confronts his father Sugarman in disgust over the violence. In a tragic twist, he attacks Sugarman but is fatally stabbed in the confrontation.

The young pickpocket is also drawn into the chaotic fray and is shot in the leg. His injury proves fatal, leaving Tornado with a heavy heart as she mourns the loss of both him and her father.

Fueled by grief and fury, Tornado sets out to hunt down and kill the remaining members of Sugarman's gang one by one. This journey of vengeance transforms her into a fierce warrior.

In the climactic confrontation, Tornado finally finds Sugarman near death and takes her revenge. With his last breath, he eerily acknowledges her as a samurai, symbolizing her transformation.

After the confrontation, Tornado briefly returns to the circus where the ringmaster proposes a new show about her story. Ultimately, she chooses independence, departing the circus and vanishing into the hills, sword in hand.
