Thor: Ragnarok

Two years after the Sokovia incident, Thor finds himself imprisoned by the fire demon Surtur in Muspelheim. He learns that his quest for the Infinity Stones has led him to this perilous situation, and Surtur reveals critical information about Asgard's impending doom.

Surtur discloses to Thor that Asgard will face destruction during Ragnarok, a fate that can be initiated if he unites his crown with the Eternal Flame. This sets Thor on a course to prevent the cataclysmic event that threatens his home.

Thor engages in a fierce battle with Surtur, emerging victorious by vanquishing him and taking his crown. However, Thor's victory is bittersweet as the implications of Ragnarok still loom over Asgard.

Thor discovers that he needs Heimdall to use the Bifrost for his escape. To his dismay, he finds that Heimdall is missing, which complicates his quest to return to Asgard.

Upon returning to Asgard, Thor finds Loki impersonating Odin. Their search for their father leads them to the truth about Loki's deception and the dire state of Asgard without Odin.

Thor and Loki discover that Loki had left Odin in a nursing home in New York. They are shocked to find the place demolished, leading them on a desperate hunt for their father.

With the help of Stephen Strange, Thor locates Odin in Norway. In his final moments, Odin reveals that his death will free Hela, the Goddess of Death, from her imprisonment, foreshadowing darker times ahead.

Following Odin's death, Hela emerges and shatters Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. As she invades Asgard, she resurrects ancient foes and wreaks havoc, laying waste to the Asgardian defenses.

Thor crash-lands on Sakaar, a chaotic garbage planet ruled by the Grandmaster. Here, he is captured and forced to fight as a gladiator, stripped of his powers and separated from his allies.

In a dramatic gladiatorial battle, Thor faces the Hulk, who has lost all memory of their past friendship. Despite Thor's attempts to recall their bond, the fight escalates into a fierce showdown.

Thor, still a captive, learns from the Hulk about the Quinjet that brought him to Sakaar. As he forms alliances with Loki and Scrapper 142, he devises a plan to escape their captivity.

Thor and his newfound allies manage to escape Sakaar and return to Asgard, only to find Hela's forces attacking the city. They rally together, striking back against the overwhelming threat facing their home.

As the battle rages, Thor realizes that to defeat Hela, they must embrace Ragnarok. With a vision of Odin, he awakens his true powers, opening the way for Surtur to help destroy Hela.

With Surtur's resurrection through Odin's Eternal Flame, Asgard is consumed in flames, marking the end of an era. The surviving Asgardians escape aboard the Grandmaster's ship, facing an uncertain future.

As they escape, Thor embraces his role as king, vowing to lead the Asgardians to safety on Earth. Meanwhile, a looming threat appears as a massive spacecraft intercepts their ship, hinting at further challenges ahead.
