As the pivotal year of 1977 dawns, a secret government decoding session unveils a grave warning from the Antareans: a malevolent force called the Worg threatens to obliterate Earth. In a preemptive strike, the alien allies send a powerful battle suit destined for the “Champion of Earth,” leading to Adam being meticulously trained from birth to embrace this role. Fast forward thirty-eight years, Officer Anthony Hagan (portrayed by Anthony) finds himself in a chaotic situation when he apprehends Zach Spencer during a wild party. Just as he prepares to take him into custody, they witness Woody Johnson and Herman Mendoza irresponsibly launching fireworks, culminating in a gigantic rocket striking a UFO, causing it to crash dangerously close.

Amid the turmoil, the four men each seize a fragment of the extraordinary battle suit, oblivious to its power and the fate that awaits them. Once the components are worn, they unlock unique abilities: Zach’s arm-cannon can fire energy blasts, Hagan’s gauntlet generates protective energy fields, Woody’s helmet boosts his intelligence, and Herman’s boots provide superhuman speed. The military soon arrives to neutralize the situation, prompting Colonel Emory to hastily assign Adam to train the new heroes within a four-day window as the Worg’s arrival looms closer. However, the Worg sends tiny robotic insects that begin transforming soldiers into relentless hunters, particularly focusing on Mindy, Hagan’s daughter.

When attempts are made to remove the suit from its wearers, the group cleverly utilizes their newfound abilities to escape from the hospital. Their path leads them to a remote cabin belonging to Hagan’s ex-wife, where a seemingly innocent Skype call with the Worg-controlled Mindy inadvertently reveals their location. As she attacks, they manage to subdue her, and Woody connects with the Worg through a device implanted in Mindy’s neck. Unfortunately, the fragile negotiations come to an explosive halt when Zach impulsively tears off the device, prompting a destructive detonation that obliterates the cabin. Now hunted by the transformed soldiers, the group narrowly evades capture.

Arriving at the campus of their alma mater, Zach and Mindy are staggered to witness an Antarean spacecraft suspended in the air, cloaked in a massive forcefield. The Worg broadcasts a battle cry that resonates with Lazer Team, igniting a fight for survival against the growing numbers of possessed soldiers. During the frenzy, Hagan makes the difficult choice to surrender, but Adam’s timely intervention allows them to escape into the stadium, where a crowd has gathered in awe of the extraterrestrial visitor.

Regrouping, the team commandeers a police vehicle to break through the forcefield surrounding the Antarean stronghold. Once inside, they encounter a Worg warrior clad in armor just like theirs, signaling a deadly tournament in which the Antareans will eliminate planets until one survives. With tension escalating, Woody intercepts a transmission, making their dire situation all too clear.

In a final effort to gain the upper hand, Adam employs riot gear to create a diversion, but his attempt ends tragically when the Worg eliminates him with a ruthless dark matter beam. Faced with this grim reality, the team realizes they can harness that very technology in a bid to fight back. As Lazer Team and the Worg engage in an intense showdown, dark matter beams spiral into chaos, causing the suit pieces to malfunction and thrusting the team outside the forcefield while the Worg is consumed by its perilous energy.

When the dust settles, the crowd outside erupts in cheers, but their celebration is cut short as Colonel Emory appears, his face reflecting the gravity of the situation: although this battle may be won, Lazer Team’s greatest trials are yet to come. With the fate of Earth hanging in the balance, they are summoned to confront the cosmos once again.
