Tom arrives soon after and discovers his father is mortally wounded. Noble tells Tom to go and finish the job of rescuing the girl and defeating Stillwell. Tom promises to see the girl safe and to honor his father's sacrifice.

Final confrontation and the coffin train scene

Tom tracks Stillwell and, after a tense standoff, shoots him when Stillwell repeats his trick. Tom then returns with the news and helps carry Noble's coffin onto a train. The platform scene shows the two sisters waiting as Tom promises to visit his older sister in a few months.
