The Sorcerers

Dr. Marcus Monserrat demonstrates the hypnosis device on Mike Roscoe. Marcus and Estelle notice that they can feel Mike's experiences and can guide him. The test shows they can both share sensations and control Mike's actions.

After the successful test, Marcus and Estelle decide to run the experiment over distance and send Mike away. They discuss risks and boundaries while Mike is told to return later for the remote link. The mood hints at a growing moral compromise.

Mike returns to the city and reunites with his girlfriend Nicole at the club. They go to a local hotel and swim in the pool. Marcus and Estelle simultaneously experience Mike's sensations from afar.

With Marcus eager to publish the findings and Estelle craving more experiences, they urge Mike to remain a test subject. They discuss continuing the arrangement despite the risks. The device ensures they feel every sensation Mike experiences.

The next day Estelle spots a fur jacket in a store and pushes Marcus to have Mike steal it. Marcus reluctantly agrees, insisting they refrain from future similar acts. The moral line begins to blur as they finalize the plan.

While Mike is with Nicole, Estelle and Marcus send him to steal the jacket. He leaves Nicole unaware, and a policeman gets involved in the pursuit. During the theft, Mike cuts his hand, and Marcus and Estelle notice they have cuts in the same place.

Seeking more thrills, Estelle pushes Mike to borrow Alan's bike for a reckless ride with Nicole on the pillion. When Alan confronts Mike, Estelle has him assault Alan and his boss Ron. Marcus is horrified by the violence, while Estelle's control grows stronger.

Marcus confronts Estelle about the escalating acts; Estelle retaliates by assaulting him and destroying the experimental device. The removal means Marcus cannot reverse the process, sealing their hold over Mike.

Mike blanks out and visits his friend Audrey. Estelle compels Mike to kill Audrey, erasing any possibility of warning. The act marks a grim extension of their unchallenged control.

Mike goes to the nightclub and hooks up with a pop singer named Laura. Alan and Nicole see Mike leaving with Laura and being dropped in a deserted street. Mike leads Laura up a deserted alley and kills her when she fails to sing as instructed.

Alan tells Nicole he suspects Mike may have killed the girls. Nicole persuades him to talk to Mike first, and they enlist the taxi driver to help police track Mike. They confront Mike about Laura, but Mike says he does not remember.

Under Estelle's influence, Mike attacks Alan again and escapes in a car. A police chase follows and Marcus interferes with Estelle's control, leading to a crash and a car fire. Back at the apartment, Estelle and Marcus die from burn injuries.
