The Worst of Evil

Set in the 1990s, The Worst of Evil follows undercover police investigators who infiltrate a massive criminal organization responsible for the illegal drug trade between Korea, China and Japan. Park Jun-mo [Ji Chang-wook] is a senior patrol officer in the countryside who is constantly belittled by his in-laws for having a lower rank and career prestige than his wife, Yoo Eui-jeong [Lim Se-mi], an elite member of the Seoul Metropolitan police Security Division. Despite this, his wife stands up for him, offering quiet strength as he wrestles with a sense of inadequacy in the eyes of his family. To secure a promotion that would finally match his wife’s prestige, Park Jun-mo agrees to go undercover inside the Gangnam organization, stepping into a dangerous world where every handshake could bury him under suspicion and every glimmer of trust could be a trap.
