The Flyboys

Kyle, the new kid, stands up to a group of bullies and saves Jason. This act forges a fast friendship between them and sets the adventure in motion. Their bond becomes the emotional engine of the story.

Jason brings Kyle to the local airport where his Uncle Ed works. They talk about meeting again the next morning at the airport, hinting at the upcoming flight. The stage is set for the high‑altitude adventure.

The boys check out a small light aircraft and then stumble upon a mysterious hangar housing a large silver twin‑engine airliner. The hangar doors swing open unexpectedly, and they scramble to hide from trouble.

The hangar doors open and the plane begins taxiing with the boys hidden in the rear baggage compartment. From their concealment they spot a gun‑wielding man on board, heightening the danger.

During a stopover at an unknown airport, a small bag is placed into their compartment. The bag is later revealed to contain a bomb, turning the boys into unwilling participants in a criminal plot.

Kyle throws the bomb out of the plane while Jason climbs into the cockpit to maneuver away from a mountainside. They manage to land the aircraft safely after the tense maneuver.

The boys are hailed as heroes in the news, but their luck begins to sour as they realize they are entangled in a criminal effort to steal money from the mob. The veneer of safety quickly fades as shadowy criminals close in.

Angelo Esposito confronts the boys at a mansion, and a gunfight erupts. There they meet Angelo’s brother Silvio and his partner Lenny Drake, who are secretly the men behind the plane and the money plot.

On the way home, Jason uses Kyle's walkie‑talkie, drawing Lenny’s attention. Lenny tries to shoot them, but Silvio restrains him; in a fit of loyalty and greed, Lenny betrays Angelo by shooting Silvio and begins a pursuit of the boys.

Lenny forces Kyle and Ed toward the hangar, threatening Kyle’s life. At the hangar, Ed is ordered into the plane, and Jason arrives just in time to board before it taxis again.

Silvio reveals to Angelo that Lenny shot him; the confrontation ends with Silvio dying from his injuries. The betrayal hardens Angelo’s resolve as the chase closes in on them.

During the flight, Lenny attempts to shoot Ed; Kyle intervenes and Ed overpowers Lenny. Jason takes control of the plane while Kyle discards the money overboard, fueling Lenny’s growing fury.

Ed deploys a parachute and Jason helps Kyle bail out. They land safely on solid ground, with Ed having kept Kyle from a dangerous fall and keeping the group intact.

Angelo arrives by helicopter to check on the survivors; Lenny dies in the plane crash and Silvio is confirmed dead. Jason returns home, receives a medal from his grandfather, and Angelo rewards Kyle and Jason with a new plane, which they pilot off into the sunset with Ed and Samantha.
