The Vengeance of the Winged Serpent

Upon arriving in Paris, Paco is arrested while his mistress Laura joins his Ravachol-Kropotkin splinter group. Louie Dupin learns that his grandmother has died and that he is the sole heir of her Paris apartment, drawing him to the city. Laura and the others position themselves to take advantage of the situation and recruit Louie into their plans.

In Louie’s apartment, Laura charms him and persuades him to let the two young women stay. The conspirators outline their use of the homes as hiding places for weapons and bases for their next attack, while some accomplices even plot to have Louie assassinated. Louie finds himself drawn into their dangerous scheme.

Louie begins to search the rooms for gold his grandmother supposedly hid, hoping to claim a prize. Laura seduces him to keep him distracted, and the treasure is found quickly. With the prize secured, the conspirators turn their attention to their larger plot.

The conspirators kidnap Alix Lefebure to bargain for Paco’s release. That evening, Louie and Laura spend the night at a hotel, and Laura leaves a small explosive as a parting gift before rejoining the others. Alvaro’s pet monkey then foils the plan by delivering the explosive to a meeting of emirs.

Upon returning home, Louie finds the apartment empty and only a few weapons left behind. He realizes he has been deceived as he sees Paco, Laura, and the others on TV fleeing by plane. The betrayal sets the stage for the next phase of the plot.

Louie discovers fake passports hidden behind a mirror and decides to move to Mexico, where Laura claimed she had met Paco. The monkey and Alvaro’s owner accompany him, and they are wanted for the hotel bombing. The journey shifts the action to a new theater of operations.

After a long discussion, Louie resolves to return to France to confront Laura. He encounters one of the terrorists and follows him to a new hideout. Louie and the group load a mysterious box into a truck bound for the Yucatán.

Back at the hideout, Valérie's boyfriend dies in the crossfire. Louie is arrested shortly after, becoming entangled in the crime web surrounding Paco. The turn of events intensifies the chase.

French police suspect Louie and his companions to be Paco's accomplices, prompting Mexican police to stage the escape of Louie and Alvaro with guerrilla help. The ruse buys them time to pursue Paco.

Louie and Alvaro are found in Cancún during the real North–South Summit on the Third World. The terrorists fly an extra pillar toward the Aztec pyramid near the meeting site, a dramatic display of their broader plan. Paco and Laura capture them in a Jeep, but the escape is aided by Alvaro’s monkey.

The survivors neutralize other terrorists, and Louie reveals to Valérie that her boyfriend was killed on Paco’s orders. The truth fractures loyalties within the operation and accelerates its unraveling.

Paco agrees to help Loulou and Alvaro remove the pillar by helicopter, but the pillar contains a nuclear missile. The device falls into the sea and explodes, ending that threat. Laura remains close to Louie as the crisis peaks.

Laura, brought along by Louie, is finally seduced by him, and they are said to be planning a child. The ending ties their personal bond to the chaotic events around them, signaling a dangerous but intimate partnership amid the fallout.
