The Twits

The story is framed by a firefly named Pippa telling a tale to her son Jeremy inside Mr. Twit's beard. Pippa introduces Mr. and Mrs. Twit as a couple driven by mischief and a shared obsession with their failing park, Twitlandia. The framing sets up the darker adventures that follow in the town.

Twitlandia makes a grand opening that is quickly crushed by numerous violations. In a fit of revenge, the Twits steal a liquid hot dog meat truck and flood the town by filling the water tower. The celebration becomes a disaster as Triperot floods the town.

Two orphans, Beesha and Bubsy, arrive as hopeful adoptees whose future is upended by the Twits' chaos. Bubsy worries his chances after the flood, and Beesha offers him a pep talk to steady him. Their budding bond hints at a larger partnership against the Twits.

Beesha and Bubsy arrive at Twitlandia and witness the Twits openly admitting their crime. The kids confront the couple amid the ruined park while townspeople observe. The admission confirms the Twits as villains in the eyes of the orphans and Beesha.

The Muggle-Wumps, a family of Loompaland creatures, are locked in a double-decker bus cage by the Twits who use them to keep the park operating. Beesha and Bubsy empathize deeply with the creatures and attempt a rescue, though the first effort fails. Beesha secretly records the Twits' confession, leading to their arrest.

Beesha and Bubsy return home and find a key that could free the Muggle-Wumps. They meet a Sweet-Toed Toad who speaks in reverse, adding a magical twist to the rescue plan. The moment marks a turning point in the kids' fight against the Twits.

A family intervenes and bails out the Twits, hoping they will help revive the town. The Twits are temporarily free and given room to maneuver. This bailout shifts power back toward their favor for a while.

Back at the house, Beesha and Bubsy finally unlock the Muggle-Wumps' cage and set them free. The Twits pursue the children to their orphanage, escalating the chase. The freedom of the Muggle-Wumps aligns the kids with a formidable new ally.

In the orphanage's main bedroom the Twits try to negotiate access by claiming a mayoral role. Beesha and the orphans confront the idea of leadership as the town becomes divided. The political showdown pivots toward the Twits' bid to control Twitlandia.

On election day the rival Mayor Wayne John John-John is undermined by the Triperot cake, causing a comic and messy downfall. Beesha crashes the election and inspires the townspeople to challenge the Twits. The Twits appear poised to rule as co-mayors, but their victory rests on deception.

The Twits, now co-mayors, attack the orphanage with the help of a mob while the orphans unleash a storm of florbnorbles to drive them back. Mr. Napkin fights back with a cheese spray in a memorable oddball confrontation. The town descends into chaos as the struggle continues.

Beesha has a heartfelt talk with Mary Muggle-Wump, admitting she wants her real parents back while Mary reassures her. The Twits finally reopen Twitlandia with the townspeople cheering, and the Muggle-Wumps are hopeful. Beesha helps force the Twits to reveal their lies and release the Muggle-Wumps, resolving some grievances by blowing up the old park to end the threat.

The orphans and the Muggle-Wumps stage a final prank that rearranges the living room to look upside down, trapping the Twits on the floor with glue. The Muggle-Wumps and Beesha realize communication has frayed, so they choose to free the Twits instead of sealing their fate. The Twits are defeated by the children's cleverness and the reversal of power in the town.

Mr. Napkin restores the orphanage to its place, and the Muggle-Wumps sell their tears to fund the home. Beesha settles into life with her newfound family as the town regains its reputation as a place for fun. The Twits get caught in a balloon prank and are blown away, allowing Pippa and Jeremy to escape from Mr. Twit's beard; in a post-credit scene, the Twits drift toward Loompaland and are swallowed by a giant Sweet-Toed Toad.
