Bored with his luxurious lifestyle, he devises an almost flawless crime, orchestrating a heist to steal $2.66 million from a Boston bank, which is equivalent to $17.8 million in 2023. To execute his plan, Crown employs four accomplices, ensuring that none of them meet him directly or even have any knowledge of each other's identities prior to the crime. After the robbery, he cleverly retrieves the cash from a discreet drop-off point and deposits it into a numbered account in Geneva, traveling multiple times to prevent any suspicious behavior from being noticed.
In response to the heist, independent investigator Vicki Anderson is hired by the bank’s insurance company, promising her a substantial 10% of the stolen amount if she can recover it.
