The police start investigating Henry Teague due to strong suspicions regarding his involvement in the abduction and murder of a young teen. However, they struggle to gather enough concrete evidence to proceed with legal action against him.

To extract a confession from Teague, law enforcement decides to employ the Mr. Big procedure, which involves deep undercover work. This covert method aims to establish trust and gain Teague's confidence, setting the stage for further infiltration.

Undercover officer Paul Emery initiates a conversation with Teague during a long bus journey. Over time, Emery builds rapport with Teague, slowly earning his trust and affection, which is crucial for the mission ahead.

Once a connection is established, Emery introduces Teague to another undercover operative, Mark Frame. Frame presents Teague with an opportunity to undertake minor criminal tasks, framing the organization as one founded on honesty.

During his eagerness to belong, Teague opens up about his criminal past, mentioning a two-year prison sentence for assault. He asserts, however, that he has reformed, hoping to win the acceptance of his new associates.

As Emery and Frame manipulate Teague into believing they are genuine criminals, they persuade him to assist with obtaining a fake passport and plane ticket. This deception deepens Teague's involvement in their fabricated criminal world.

On the brink of what is depicted as Emery's escape, he emotionally urges Teague to remain loyal to Frame and the organization. He reassures Teague that the organization will protect him, reinforcing their bond.

As the operation progresses, Frame takes on a mentor role, drawing Teague deeper into the facade of organized crime. This dynamic positions Frame closer to various high-ranking players who are, unbeknownst to Teague, actually law enforcement officers.

Detective Senior Constable Kate Rylett intensively investigates Teague's actions. Her diligent work uncovers significant discrepancies in Teague's alibi concerning the night of the crime, as well as a troubling history of violence against minors.

To prevent Teague from fleeing, the police devise a plan to feed him false information about impending charges. This manipulation is aimed at keeping him unsettled and more compliant with their motives.

The tension heightens when Frame informs Teague that John, the leader of their supposed organization, wishes to meet him. John assures Teague that he could have a fresh start, but to achieve this, he must admit to the crimes he's accused of.

Under pressure during the meeting with John, Teague ultimately agrees to provide the details of his alleged crime, believing this will free him from legal troubles. He leads the undercover officers to the crime scene, where he is swiftly arrested.

Following Teague's arrest, officers meticulously excavate the area surrounding the crime scene. This careful investigation leads to significant findings that bolster the case against Teague and provide closure to the victim's family.
