Opening with the soft hush of a lullaby, Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, the tale unfurls in a moonlit wood where a nameless woodcutter, weary from his journey home, spots a star that has fallen to earth. He follows the glimmering trail and discovers an infant nestled beneath the trees—the Star Prince. He brings the child back to his simple home and raises him as his own, hoping to give him a life of warmth and care. As the boy grows, the King’s world begins to orbit around him, and the once-humble woodsman notices a troubling change: the Star Prince matures into a spoiled youth who believes that power and privilege entitle him to rule over everyone he encounters.

One morning, the Star Prince, along with his siblings, lashes out at a passing old beggar woman. The woodcutter intervenes just in time, shielding the stranger from harm. Inside the modest shelter, the beggar woman reveals a painful truth: seven years earlier, she had hidden the Star Prince to protect him from danger during a brutal mugging. She confesses that she is his mother, a truth that the Prince receives with a mix of anger and disbelief. He rejects the possibility of kinship, and the mother leaves in tears. The encounter shakes the woodcutter and the entire household, and a witnessing fairy becomes involved, placing a cruel curse on the Prince that strips away his beauty and his place in the world he once believed was his birthright. Now ridiculed and unrecognized by those who knew him, the transformed Prince feels a fierce longing for forgiveness and reconciliation. He vows to venture into the woods to seek his mother’s forgiveness, hoping to heal the rift that divides them.

Across the realm, a fairy godmother, watching from a nearby castle, presents a different, shimmering thread of destiny. She speaks to a beautiful young Princess, telling her that she will wed a prince who fell from a star. This Princess, whose path intersects with the Prince’s fate, enters a separate but parallel journey toward love and discovery. On the road toward her future, the Star Prince encounters a trapped squirrel; touched by compassion, he frees the creature, and the act of kindness awakens a gentler magic within him. The fairy’s blessing crystallizes as the Prince’s outward beauty is restored, and a lost dog he rescues is brought to the Princess, deepening the bond between the Prince’s world and the Princess’s heart.

Yet this healing is opposed by a scheming dwarf who, with the Witch’s aid, seeks to keep the Star Prince away from the Princess. In a dark cave, the Dwarf and the Witch attempt to orchestrate a union between the King and his own claim to the Princess’s hand, insisting that the Star Prince is really their charge. The Princess, when she learns of the arrangement, rebels in fury. She sends a carrier pigeon in the hope of rescue, and a message reaches the Star Prince, who learns that touching a magic rock in the cave can set him free. He travels back toward the castle, where the Witch’s spy keeps watch on his every move.

The moment of reunion arrives with peril. The Star Prince returns to the castle just as the Witch’s imps breach the halls, and the Star Prince hides inside the Princess’s closet, making a perilous stand against capture. A fierce struggle with the Dwarf ensues, and the Prince is ultimately won free only to be swept back toward the cave. Inside, the Witch saddles him with a new task: fetch a bag of gold from the forest. The Prince, recalling kindness shown to him before, seeks the help of the very squirrel he once saved to retrieve the gold. On his way back, he encounters an old Beggar—his mother’s old disguise of poverty—who asks for money. He gives what he has, incurring the Witch’s punishment, yet he remains steadfast, using compassion as his compass.

That night, the Star Prince makes a bold escape, slipping through the Enchanted Forest toward a dawn of possibility. The next morning promises a wedding that would seal a future he never imagined. But the Witch, sensing interference in her plans, races to the castle to derail the ceremony. The Prince arrives in the nick of time to halt the vows, and the Witch is slain by castle guards, her dark plot unraveling in the castle’s stones. The Dwarf discovers his own fate as the spell that kept him subservient is reversed, and he is transformed into a pig before the crowd.

In a poignant turn, the Prince declares that he cannot marry until he first receives his mother’s forgiveness. She appears with the Beggar Woman, and the long-awaited moment of healing unfolds. The Star Prince humbly begs for forgiveness, and his mother’s blessing is granted, closing the rift of years that divided them. The Fairy Godmother then unveils her final act of magic: outfits fit for a royal life, tailored to the Prince’s renewed sense of self, and she reminds him that the man who received the gold was none other than his father. With forgiveness granted and identity restored, the Star Prince and the Princess—whose bond has deepened through trials—are wed, and they begin a life together that promises happiness and harmony, as all live peacefully ever after.
