The Roost

Trevor, Allison, Brian, and Elliot set off on a cheerful road trip to attend a wedding. Their excitement is palpable, as they're eager for a fun weekend away with friends.

As the friends drive along, they are suddenly attacked by a swarm of bats. The chaos causes their vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a desolate ditch, marking the start of their nightmare.

Desperate to get their car back on the road, the group decides to seek help from a nearby house. Unbeknownst to them, the inhabitants of this house are under the influence of a sinister force.

Their frantic search for help spirals into chaos as a horde of bats emerges, creating an atmosphere of dread. The group realizes they're not safe and that something is terribly wrong.

A well-meaning police officer arrives to assist the friends but quickly finds himself overpowered by the bats. His attempt to bring safety becomes a disaster as he too falls victim to the chaos.

After being attacked, the police officer's reanimated corpse rises from the dead, bent on revenge against the remaining friends. The horror escalates as they are now being hunted by a familiar yet terrifying figure.

As the night wears on, the friends begin to fall victim to the undead horrors surrounding them. Each one meets a gruesome end, heightening the sense of despair for the few who remain.

Allison and Elliot are the last survivors, facing the grim reality of their fate. In a moment of resignation, they come to terms with the horror that has befallen their group.

Back at the Frightmare Theatre, the Horror Host expresses his frustration at the movie's dull ending. He rewinds the film to show a more thrilling alternative that keeps the audience at the edge of their seats.

In an alternate version, Elliot manages to escape in a police cruiser after Allison is overwhelmed by the bats. However, his fleeting hope is soon dashed as he encounters perils on his journey.

Elliot stops at a rickety bridge, desperately seeking help from a tow truck driver. Unfortunately, the driver becomes yet another victim of the swooping pack of bats, leaving Elliot in despair.

As Elliot remains trapped in this horrific nightmare, he is confronted by the reanimated version of Allison. This shocking moment rendershis escape seem hopeless and intensifies the terror he faces.

The Horror Host intervenes once more, signaling the end of this gripping tale of horror. He reassures the audience that this nightmare has reached its conclusion, leaving lingering questions and chills.

As the camera focuses on the terrified viewer in the theatre, a monstrous canine emerges from the shadows. It gives one last terrifying blow to both Elliot and the audience, cementing the film's horror.

With the horrifying events of the night lingering in their minds, the lights dim in Frightmare Theatre. The audience is left rattled and haunted by the horrors they have just witnessed, plunging them into an abyss of fear.
