As Rick Latimer, portrayed by James Belushi, encounters his estranged ex-wife Kimberly at a local bar, a tumultuous clash between his past and present ignites a fierce explosion of emotions. Following a heated exchange with her divorce lawyer, Rick’s frustration boils over as he wreaks havoc on the lawyer’s vehicle, leaving it a mangled wreck. The repercussions of this outburst are immediate and grave, leading to his incarceration.

In response to Rick’s chaos, the school district opts to transfer him to Brandel High, known for its rampant gang issues and a culture of delinquency. This institution acts as a dumping ground for the most troublesome students from various schools, and at first, Rick feels lost amidst the turmoil.

Yearning for redemption, he seizes control by addressing the unruly student body with a passionate speech, pledging change: “No more.” He promises an end to substance abuse, hallways filled with chaos, and tardiness. However, his words fall on disinterested ears, particularly with Victor Duncan—the notorious gang leader—mocking Rick’s intentions and sending the students into a frenzy.

Facing resistance not only from the students but also from the skeptical faculty, including Jake—the head of security—Rick’s journey is fraught with challenges. Despite his persistent efforts to combat issues like drug dealing and hallway congestion, success proves elusive. The rebellion escalates among students, particularly with the troublemaker White Zac, who directs his frustrations at teacher Ms. Orozco. When she cries for help, Rick hears her plea and intervenes, chasing down White Zac on his motorcycle and dumping him into a trash can, unconscious.

As Victor tightens his grip on the school, he commits a brutal act against Emile, a former gang member who has become receptive to Rick’s guidance. This violent outburst leaves Emile hanging perilously after being thrown through a skylight. Meanwhile, Victor’s goons assault Rick, vandalizing his motorcycle with graffiti that declares, “El Principal.”

Tensions culminate in a cafeteria confrontation where Victor issues a chilling ultimatum: if Rick returns the next day, he faces death. Rick’s indifferent response only fuels Victor’s rage, yet it is Arturo and his friends in shop class who retaliate by repairing Rick’s motorcycle and adorning it with the same declaration.

The next day, Victor and his gang descend upon the school like a menacing storm. Locked out and isolated due to Victor severing the phone lines, Rick leads a tense game of hide-and-seek, waiting in the girls’ shower room with a baseball bat for Victor’s next move. When the moment of confrontation arrives, Jojo—a member of Victor’s crew—is pushed to deliver the lethal blow but hesitates, fearing the consequences for their gang. This moment of defiance leads to Jojo’s execution at Victor’s hands, casting a shadow over the brutal reality they all face.

The disruption caused by Arturo takes advantage of the situation, allowing Rick to surge forward and confront Victor in a fierce struggle; chaos erupts in the school corridors as the two battle for dominance. Initially, Victor appears to have the upper hand, but Rick soon regains control. The standoff concludes with Victor crashing into the hallway, leaving the entire school riveted in silence, with mixed reactions from the students—some cheering for Rick’s triumph while others display shock.

Once the dust settles, Rick delivers a final note of authority: “No more!” This command quells the unrest and reinstates order, just as the police arrive to take Victor into custody. A student questions Rick’s authority with skepticism, prompting an assertive response: “I’m the principal, man!” With an air of confidence, Rick revs his motorcycle and rides off into the distance, embodying a spirit of resilience amidst the chaos.
