June Abbott, portrayed by Camilla Luddington, is a diligent crime scene cleaner who finds herself thrust into a chilling mystery when she receives an order to clean the home of Ellie Ford, a woman murdered by a serial killer reminiscent of the infamous “Judas Killer.” Amidst this turmoil, she receives an engagement ring from her boyfriend, Officer Daniel Meyer, played by Scott Michael Foster. June’s complicated relationship with her mother, Maggie, portrayed by Amy Pietz, who struggles with alcoholism and smoking, adds another layer of complexity, particularly as Daniel harbors resentment towards Maggie for her influence on June.

As events unfold, June is interrogated by the relentless FBI agent Terrence Ballard, played by Patrick Fischler, who reveals startling truths about her past. He discloses that June is adopted by Maggie and that her biological mother, Jennifer Glick, was the very first victim of the Judas Killer. In a haunting turn of events, Ballard hands June personal belongings of Jennifer, which includes a Bible filled with ominous photographs of both Jennifer and the murderer, Charles Barlow.

Following a heated confrontation with Maggie, who remains tight-lipped about the dark family secrets, June experiences disturbing visions connected to the murder. After a chilling encounter with the silhouette of Judas, she rushes home only to discover her mother’s lifeless body. With suspicion mounting against her, particularly from Ballard, June cleverly navigates her mother’s house, unearthing clues from Jennifer’s Bible that point to a deeper connection with the killer’s lineage.

Determined not to let fear rule her life, June reaches out to Annie Barlow, the niece of the murderer, played by Caity Lotz. Together, they seek the help of Annie’s psychic friend Stevie, portrayed by Haley Hudson, but their efforts seem futile when Stevie claims she cannot assist them. However, motivated by the possibility of familial ties, Annie decides to join June in her investigation.

The two friends conduct a séance that sends chills down their spine, leading them to whispers of the enigmatic “Pink Room.” In a tragic twist, Annie ventures into Ellie’s apartment alone, where she takes perilous photographs before falling victim to an unknown assailant. As June deciphers the images Annie sent her, she ventures into the “Pink Room,” discovering it to be an erotic photo studio where Ellie once worked.

In an alarming confrontation, June realizes that Officer Daniel Meyer is not the man he appeared to be. After uncovering a trove of incriminating evidence in his closet, she learns Daniel’s dark secret: he is the murderous copycat, influenced by Charles Barlow’s legacy. In a desperate fight for her life, they engage in a tense chase throughout the home, revealing Daniel’s true nature.

As the climax unfolds, June fights back, ultimately defeating Daniel just as he attempts to eliminate Ballard, who had earlier been a hapless victim of the unfolding drama. With Daniel incapacitated, June is exonerated, but the story doesn’t end there. A foreboding call from Stevie alarmingly hints that Annie’s cryptic warning, “it is starting again,” may hold more meaning than she anticipated. The scene shifts, revealing a menacing figure behind June in the mirror, leaving audiences to ponder if the terrifying legacy of the Judas Killer will resurface once more.
