Detective Klein and his team are drawn into a complex case when they uncover the lifeless body of a woman they initially identify as Samantha Walker, the daughter of a military contractor named Lex Walker. Upon receiving this devastating news, Lex rushes to his London apartment, only to soon realize that the body being returned is not Samantha but rather one of her friends. Seeking answers about his daughter's disappearance, Lex contacts Most Industries, where Samantha was employed, and speaks with Karl Schuster, the company's CEO. To Lex's frustration, Schuster claims he has no information about Samantha's whereabouts, leading Lex to confront security at the company. This confrontation results in Lex's arrest.
While in custody, Lex has a chance meeting with Detective Klein, who subsequently releases him. Lex then heads to a bar frequently visited by Samantha, where he offers the bartender a sum of $10,000 for any information regarding her. However, the bartender refuses, resulting in a scuffle. After the fight subsides, Lex manages to secure the money back and is eventually approached by a woman named Margo, who claims to know that Samantha was last seen at a certain nightclub.
Margo takes Lex to the club and informs him that Samantha was involved with a man named Ricky Cummings. Lex confronts Ricky, who quickly escapes. Despite briefly pursuing him, Lex ends up in a confrontation with three of Schuster's henchmen, managing to eliminate them in a tense showdown alongside Margo and Ricky. Meanwhile, Detective Klein and his team are hot on their trail.
As the plot thickens, Lex tracks down an apartment where Samantha is believed to be held. In a twist, Lex ends up being tased by Samantha herself, as she mistakenly assumes he poses a threat. Upon regaining consciousness, Lex learns that Samantha faked her own death in a desperate attempt to evade Schuster and has gathered crucial evidence implicating Most Industries in fraudulent activities. To take down Schuster, they hatch a plan to infiltrate his operations by having Margo pose as an escort.
While Klein's team uncovers Schuster's unlawful deeds, they prepare to move in and make an arrest. As teamwork unfolds, Margo engages Schuster in conversation while Samantha extracts the remaining files. Unfortunately, their plan is jeopardized when they are ambushed, and Lex is forced to fight off attackers, resulting in a struggle that leads to a dramatic fall into a pool.
In a climactic standoff, Schuster takes Margo hostage and fires at Lex and one remaining henchman. Just when it seems all hope is lost, Klein arrives, gun drawn, and orders Schuster to surrender. After a tense moment where Schuster insists Klein disarm himself, Lex seizes the opportunity, retrieving the gun and finally terminating Schuster’s threat, all while freeing Margo in the process. Remarkably, Klein emerges relatively unscathed due to his bulletproof vest.
With the circumstances surrounding Lex's actions deemed self-defense, Klein allows him to walk free and offers him a place on his team, an invitation Lex graciously declines. Lex repays Margo with more than $100,000 for her assistance, as promised, while Samantha chooses a path with Ricky, hinting at a new beginning for them all as Margo departs and Lex appears poised to follow suit.
