The Miracle Maker

Jairus and his sick daughter Tamar travel to Sepphoris, hoping for a miracle cure. Their friend Cleopas mentions a doctor who might help, but the doctor confides that the illness is incurable.

Tamar witnesses a deranged Mary Magdalene being defended by Jesus in Sepphoris. The moment contrasts suffering and compassion as Jesus stands with the afflicted against her accusers.

Jesus travels to his mother Mary, who recalls his birth, the visit of the Magi, and his conversations with elders at the Temple. The scene roots his mission in family and tradition.

Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist in the Jordan River, and a heavenly voice proclaims his divine identity. His devotion is then tested by a demonic being in the wilderness, signaling the start of his ministry.

Jesus begins preaching in Capernaum, where Tamar and her mother Rachel hear the Sermon on the Mount and the Parable of the Wise and the Foolish Builders. As his following grows, Judas Iscariot leaves a Zealot group to follow him.

Jesus preaches from aboard a boat to crowds along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, guiding fishermen Simon, John, and James to a miraculous catch. Simon recognizes Jesus as the Messiah, and Jesus renames him Peter.

Jesus frees Mary Magdalene from the demons and forgives her sins in front of synagogue leaders. Ben Azra and Simon the Pharisee condemn him, arguing that he is in league with the Devil.

When Tamar's illness worsens, Jairus defies the priests and pleads with Jesus to help. Although Tamar dies before Jesus arrives, he revives her, teaching the power of faith and forgiveness.

Jairus, Rachel, Cleopas and Tamar join Jesus as they travel toward Jerusalem for Passover. The journey strengthens their bond and sets the stage for the climactic events in the holy city.

Ben Azra warns high priest Caiaphas of Jesus's growing influence and that he witnessed Jesus raise Lazarus from the dead on the way to Jerusalem. Caiaphas resolves that Jesus must be disposed of to prevent further trouble.

In Jerusalem, Jesus drives merchants out of the temple, validates paying taxes to Caesar, and predicts his own death. Judas grows wary, suspecting that Jesus's actions threaten both the Romans and his own people.

At the Passover meal, Jesus tells his followers that one of them will betray him. He prays in the Garden of Gethsemane, is betrayed by Judas, and the authorities arrest him.

Jesus stands before Pontius Pilate; though Pilate finds no case, Caiaphas and Ben Azra push for his condemnation, and the crowd demands his death. Jesus is crucified and laid in a tomb.

The tomb is found empty; Mary Magdalene and Peter see Jesus alive, while Thomas doubts until he meets him. Jesus appears to followers on the road to Emmaus and then gathers them to commission their mission, promising to be with them always.

Having gathered his followers, Jesus commands them to spread his teachings to the world and reassures them of his ongoing presence as he disappears from view.
