A gang of crooks flees the police and sets up shop in a quiet town, where their leader meets a charismatic faith healer. He exploits the healer to swindle townspeople into donating for a fake chapel. When a genuine miracle occurs, the criminals begin to change. The silent film is lost today, with only its most celebrated scene surviving. Indeed!!!
