The Lost Boys

Following their parents' divorce, Michael and his younger brother Sam move to Santa Carla, California with their mother Lucy. This marks the beginning of their journey in a new town known for its vibrant beach culture and, unsettlingly, its reputation as the murder capital of the world.

Upon arriving, the brothers and Lucy move in with her eccentric father. They quickly realize that Santa Carla is not just a typical beach town, but one filled with mystery and danger, setting the tone for their upcoming experiences.

While exploring the boardwalk, Lucy discovers a video store managed by Max, where she secures a job. This new employment gives her a sense of normalcy despite the strange atmosphere surrounding their new home.

Sam visits a comic shop where he encounters the quirky Frog Brothers, Edgar and Allan. They share a comic that piques Sam's interest, detailing the dark nature of vampires, now igniting his curiosity about the supernatural.

As Michael roams Santa Carla, he becomes captivated by the alluring Star, who has ties to the enigmatic leader David. This fascination leads him on a path that intertwines both romance and danger.

David brings Michael to an abandoned hotel that collapsed during an earthquake, revealing it as their hidden lair. Suspecting nothing, Michael is unknowingly drawn into the world of vampires when he drinks David's blood, thinking it to be wine.

After drinking David's blood, Michael experiences terrifying changes, including heightened sensitivity to sound and a lack of reflection. These unsettling transformations mark the beginning of Michael's struggle with his newfound vampire nature.

Noticing Michael's strange behaviors and powers, Sam panics and rushes to inform their mother about his brother's transformation. However, Michael reassures Sam, leading their mother to remain unaware of the supernatural events unfolding.

Fearing for his brother, Sam seeks the aid of the Frog Brothers, who suggest that the only way to save Michael is through a stake to the heart. Instead, they believe Max, suspected to be the head vampire, must be confronted first.

Sam and Michael invite Max over for dinner to expose his true nature with the help of the Frog Brothers. Their plan fails, revealing that Max is not the head vampire, prompting them to devise a new strategy.

Determined to save Star and a young half-vampire named Laddie, Michael leads a daring rescue mission involving Sam and the Frog Brothers. The stakes are high as they prepare to face off against David and his vampire gang.

Chaos erupts as the Frog Brothers find themselves battling against the vampires, culminating in Michael confronting David. In a fierce battle, Michael defeats David by impaling him, yet remains uncertain about his own vampire condition.

As Lucy arrives home with Max, she is oblivious to the battle that has occurred. Michael and Star hide as Max reveals himself as the true head vampire, proposing that he wanted Michael and Sam to join his 'family' and threatening Sam if Lucy doesn't comply.

In a climactic conflict, Lucy's father bursts in with wooden stakes, confronting Max. The ensuing struggle leads to Max's demise, bringing an end to their vampire troubles.

With the danger finally behind them, Lucy reassures her sons of their safety. As the family reflects on their harrowing experience, they also acknowledge the unique excitement of living in Santa Carla, now free from the threat of vampires.
