The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

After the heroic efforts of Emmet and his friends in Bricksburg, a new challenge arises as aliens from the planet Duplo make their entrance. This event occurs shortly after young Finn learns that his sister is now allowed to join in the fun with Legos, setting the stage for impending conflict.

In a bid for peace, Emmet bravely approaches the Duplo leaders with a heart he constructed himself. However, the heart is swiftly devoured by the aliens, escalating the already tense situation.

Lucy, also known as Wyldstyle, attempts to launch an attack against the Duplo forces. Her actions inadvertently lead to a deafening scream from the alien leader, shattering windows all around and intensifying the chaos.

As the Duplos rampage through Bricksburg, extensive destruction follows, with many buildings reduced to rubble. Emmet and Lucy, despite rallying help from Batman and others, find themselves overwhelmed and ultimately defeated.

Five years later, Bricksburg has transformed into Apocalypseburg, a city shrouded in darkness and gloom. Emmet remains cheerful amidst the pessimism, while Lucy reflects on the disappearance of the Justice League, who have failed to return from their battle with the Duplos.

Emmet shares a bizarre dream with Lucy, featuring a dolphin clock and a catastrophic event he dubs 'Ourmamageddon'. He reveals that he has built a charming house outside the city, but Lucy worries it will attract unwanted attention.

Just as Lucy's fears materialize, a ship descends upon Apocalypseburg, targeting Emmet and his friends. The trio quickly crafts an escape vehicle, but their plans go awry as Emmet accidentally signals their location.

Upon seeking refuge at Batman's fortress, the group encounters General Sweet Mayhem, who mistakenly identifies Emmet as the hero she is meant to capture. Consequently, she abducts Lucy and their allies, leaving Emmet on a mission to rescue them.

Mayhem takes the Master Builders to the Systar System, arriving on a planet ruled by Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi. She presents herself as a villain turned hero, captivating the audience except for Lucy, who remains skeptical of her motives.

In a daring response to Mayhem's actions, Emmet meets Rex Dangervest, a hardened hero with a painful past. Their partnership begins as they aim to rescue Emmet's friends, despite the darkness that surrounds Rex's backstory.

The Master Builders find themselves preparing for an unwanted wedding between Batman and Watevra. As Lucy momentarily loses hope, she escapes and learns about a supportive community in her Lego world, fostering her determination.

In a private dinner with Watevra, Batman addresses his insecurities which leads him to a surprising proposal. Amidst a gathering of guests, Lucy attempts to disrupt the wedding, driven by her resolve to protect Emmet.

As the wedding chaos escalates, Emmet discovers that Rex is a future version of himself, one shaped by loneliness and bitterness. Meanwhile, Finn reconciles with his sister Bianca, setting the stage for new beginnings.

Emmet harnesses the 'grown-up' power to create chaos, leading to an intense confrontation with Rex. With Lucy's help, they work together to dissolve the darker version of Emmet back into the past, reuniting with their friends.

After the confrontation, President Business returns from his golf excursion but is quickly ousted from the community. In the end, Lucy surprises Emmet by showcasing her passionate creation of a new album of 'Everything is Awesome', celebrating the joy of friendship.
