The Ladykillers

In a picturesque community in Mississippi, Mrs. Marva Munson lives a tranquil life as a kind-hearted elderly widow. Her days are filled with faith and routine, providing her a sense of peace and contentment.

One sunny morning, Mrs. Munson's life takes a turn when she opens her door to Professor Goldthwaite H. Dorr. Charming and persuasive, he presents himself as a musician in need of a place to stay and access to her basement.

Mrs. Munson trusts Mr. Dorr's intentions, allowing him and his crew to use her basement for what they claim are musical recitals. Unbeknownst to her, he leads a group of inept criminals plotting to rob the local riverboat casino.

Mr. Dorr and his ragtag group, composed of culturally diverse misfits, devise a plan to tunnel into the casino vault. They utilize orchestral CDs to cover the sound of their digging, convincing Mrs. Munson of their musical endeavors.

The criminals face comedic setbacks, including Gawain's firing from the casino and Garth's disastrous safety demonstration involving explosives. Each mishap adds more chaos to their already unstable operation.

Finally, the criminals succeed in breaking into the vault and manage to steal a significant amount of money. Their joy is short-lived as plans begin to unravel once the pressure of their deception starts mounting.

When Mrs. Munson discovers the truth about Mr. Dorr and the stolen money, she confronts him directly. Determined to reclaim the funds or involve the police, she holds Mr. Dorr accountable for the chaos.

Facing their potential exposure, the criminals decide to take drastic actions to eliminate Mrs. Munson. Their attempts lead to a darkly comic series of events, showcasing their incompetence and a lack of cohesive planning.

During a heated argument involving Gawain, a tragic accident throws the criminals into further disarray. The plans to eliminate Mrs. Munson fail spectacularly, resulting in chaos and casualties among the group.
