The Haunted Mansion

Jim and Sara Evers, a successful couple in real estate, find their relationship strained when Jim forgets their wedding anniversary. In an attempt to make amends, Jim suggests a vacation to the nearby lake, hoping to rekindle their romance.

Sara receives a call from the occupants of Gracey Manor, which piques Jim's interest when he learns about the mansion's location. Eager to make a business deal, Jim takes his family to meet Edward Gracey and his staff, including Ramsley, Emma, and Ezra.

A sudden rainstorm causes the river to flood, leaving the Evers stranded at Gracey Manor. Edward Gracey invites them to stay overnight, giving Jim the chance to negotiate a deal while Sara explores the mansion with her children.

While discussing the deal with Ramsley, Jim accidentally becomes trapped in a secret passage of the mansion. This mysterious event sets off a chain reaction of discoveries regarding the manor's haunted history.

Michael and Megan, intrigued by a spectral orb, follow it to the attic where they encounter a portrait that eerily resembles Sara. They learn from Emma and Ezra that the woman in the painting is the late Elizabeth, which intensifies the mystery surrounding the manor.

Jim discovers Madame Leota, a ghostly gypsy enclosed in a crystal ball, who provides cryptic insights into the mansion's dark past. He learns that the ghosts are trapped due to a curse linked to a tragic love story involving Elizabeth and Gracey.

Leota directs the Evers to the mansion's cemetery to find the key that holds the truth about Elizabeth's death. In a suspenseful moment, Jim and Megan disturb undead residents while searching but manage to escape unharmed, thanks to Michael's bravery.

Unlocking a trunk in the attic, Jim finds a letter written by Elizabeth, revealing her true feelings for Gracey and exposing the lie surrounding her supposed suicide. This discovery becomes crucial in unraveling the mystery of the ghostly residents.

Ramsley, the butler, reveals that he murdered Elizabeth to prevent Gracey from pursuing what he deemed an unacceptable relationship. His confession deepens the tension as he captures the children, aiming to maintain control over the unfolding events.

As Sara is coerced into marrying Gracey under Ramsley's threats to her children's safety, Jim finds a way back into the mansion. He disrupts the wedding ceremony, presenting Elizabeth's letter and exposing Ramsley’s heinous crime.

With the truth revealed, Ramsley summons wraiths to attack Jim and his family. The ensuing chaos brings about a fiery entity that seeks to drag Ramsley to Hell, emphasizing the consequences of his betrayal.

During the wedding ceremony, Ramsley poisons Sara, resulting in a dramatic turn of events. As Sara collapses, the spectral orb appears, revealing itself to be Elizabeth's ghost, indicating the impending resolution of the curse.

As the truth about Elizabeth's death comes to light, Elizabeth's ghost reunites with Gracey. Their reunion breaks the century-old curse, allowing all the trapped souls within Gracey Manor to finally ascend to the afterlife.

With the curse lifted, Gracey gifts the Evers the deed to the mansion as a parting gesture. As they leave the now peaceful manor, the Evers prepare for a proper vacation across the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway, reflecting on their incredible adventure.
