In Pixie Hollow, a dust-keeper fairy named Zarina exhibits a profound curiosity about pixie dust. Fascinated by its magical properties, she begins conducting her own experiments to learn more about it.

While experimenting with blue and pink pixie dust variants, Zarina’s actions lead to a significant accident that disrupts Pixie Hollow. This mishap catches the attention of her supervisor, Fairy Gary, who is angered by her reckless behavior.

After the accident, Fairy Gary confronts Zarina and fires her from her job for disregarding his orders. This marks a turning point in Zarina’s life as she leaves Pixie Hollow, filled with sorrow.

A year later, Pixie Hollow prepares for its annual Four Seasons Festival, celebrating the magic of fairies across all seasons. Tinker Bell and her friends gather for performances, unaware of what is about to unfold.

During the festival, Tinker Bell and her friends spot Zarina flying around the audience. She uses pink pixie dust to summon poppies that put everyone into a deep sleep, demonstrating her newfound power.

Tinker Bell and her friends quickly realize that Zarina has stolen all the blue pixie dust, which is essential for their flying abilities. Determined to retrieve it, they set off on a mission to find Zarina.

The fairies track Zarina to the coast, where they discover that she has become the captain of a pirate crew. This revelation shocks them as they realize how far Zarina has strayed from her origins.

In a confrontation with Zarina, the fairies encounter multi-colored pixie dust that causes their talents to swap. Each fairy is bewildered as they navigate their new abilities while searching for Zarina and her crew.

While sneaking aboard the pirate ship, the fairies overhear James, the cabin boy, revealing that he and the pirates manipulated Zarina into becoming their captain. They learned this was part of a scheme to make the ship fly for plunder.

The pirates sail to Skull Rock, where the fairies discover a Pixie Dust Tree grown by Zarina using pink pixie dust. Their attempt to retrieve the blue dust fails when Iridessa's talent mishap exposes their location.

When James ends up betraying Zarina, he reveals himself as the true captain by trapping her in a lantern. His betrayal comes after a moment of joy where he experiences flying, showcasing his true intentions.

As the fairies remain imprisoned, they are saved by a baby crocodile that frees them, demonstrating unexpected loyalty and helping them to regroup. This event revitalizes their spirit to confront the pirates.

The fairies face a difficult decision when James threatens to throw Zarina into the sea unless they surrender the blue pixie dust. Tink sacrifices the dust, hoping to protect Zarina and save her from peril.

As the pirates sail towards the Second Star, the fairies utilize their new abilities to turn the ship and confront the pirates. This climactic battle showcases teamwork as they fight to reclaim the blue pixie dust.

After a series of events, Zarina accepts Tink's invitation to return to Pixie Hollow, helping her friends transport the ship back. Once home, Zarina's talent is embraced, allowing her to showcase her unique abilities during the festival.
