The Evil of Frankenstein

A terrified child hides in a cabin as an intruder steals the corpse of a recently deceased relative. A local priest discovers the theft, and the child identifies both the body snatcher and his employer. This event sets off a chase that draws Victor into the story.

Forced to leave town, Victor Frankenstein and his assistant Hans retreat to the Baron’s hometown of Karlstaad. They plan to sell valuables from the abandoned Frankenstein chateau to fund new work. The move marks a shift from secrecy to a more ambitious project.

In Karlstaad they rescue Rena, a deaf-mute young woman, from a gang’s harassment. They reach the chateau only to find all the valuables stolen, forcing them to flee. This setback deepens their urgency to secure resources for their experiments.

Victor and Hans blend into a local carnival to stay inconspicuous. While in a pub, Victor spots the burgomaster wearing one of his valuables—a ring—sparking a scene that draws authorities. He is forced to flee again, heightening the sense of danger.

A clash with the police at Zoltan’s exhibit reveals his role; he is arrested, allowing Victor and Hans to slip away with Rena unseen. The incident confirms that Zoltan is connected to the theft and the authorities’ attention.

Victor and Hans break into the burgomaster’s apartments to retrieve the stolen valuables. Police arrive during the heist, forcing another rapid escape. They later stumble upon Rena, who guides them to a hidden shelter in a cave.

Victor finds his prototype creation frozen in ice inside the cave. They melt the ice and bring the creature to life back at the chateau, although the brain remains unresponsive. The revival marks the start of a dangerous new chapter.

Desperate, Victor manipulates Zoltan into agreeing to reanimate the creature’s mind. Zoltan has been banished from Karlstaad for lacking a license, but Victor’s scheming overrides the banishment long enough to secure help.

Zoltan successfully reanimates the creature, but it proves to be loyal only to him. He uses the revived being to rob and exact vengeance on the town’s authorities, blurring moral lines and escalating the danger.

Victor evicts Zoltan from the chateau, prompting Zoltan to command the creature to kill Victor. In a twist, the creature instead kills Zoltan, turning on its manipulator.

The creature erupts in rage, setting the lab ablaze. Hans escapes with Rena as smoke pours from the chateau. The structure begins to topple, signaling a catastrophe that will seal Victor’s fate.

A massive explosion at the chateau collapses the section of the building, sending it over a cliff. Victor and the creature are killed in the blast, while Hans and Rena manage to flee and watch the ruin from a safe distance.
