The Baby in the Basket

A mysterious cloaked figure leaves a wicker basket with an infant at the doorstep of St. Augustine's Monastery during a stormy night. The nuns, led by Mother Superior, decide to care for the child until the storm passes, believing it to be a helpless infant in need. This event sets the stage for the unfolding horrors inside the convent.

The nuns begin their quiet, austere life, tending to their daily routines and caring for the newborn. The atmosphere is peaceful at first, but subtle unease begins to surface as the storm rages outside. The sisters attempt to maintain their faith and stability amidst the growing tension.

Sister Agnes, known for her devoutness, starts experiencing disturbing visions and hearing disembodied whispers. She becomes increasingly convinced that the baby is the spawn of Satan and warns the other sisters, but her claims are met with skepticism.

To prevent her hysteria from spreading, Mother Superior orders Sister Agnes to be confined to her quarters. Despite her confinement, Agnes's visions and fears persist, fueling suspicion among the other nuns about the child's true nature.
