Upon their arrival at Deep Core, the investigation into the Montana's demise reveals a series of strange occurrences. A sudden power failure allows Lindsey to glimpse a peculiar light circling the submarine, which she later refers to as a "non-terrestrial intelligence" or "NTI." This extraordinary sight ignites a sense of urgency within Lt. Hiram Coffey, the SEAL team leader, who feels pressured to expedite their mission.
