As the dust clears from their chaotic exit from Clayman's army, an Ogre and his group of mercenaries fall prey to a vicious ambush orchestrated by Clayman's soldiers, spearheaded by the ruthless Yamza. Severely injured, the Ogre is taken in by the kind-hearted inhabitants of the Kingdom of Raja, where the gentle Queen Towa bestows upon him the name "Hiiro" while nurturing him back to health. After ten days, Hiiro makes a bold escape from Raja’s confines and ventures back to the ruins of his Ogre Village, only to find it devastated by the ferocious Orcs. Fueled by an intense desire for vengeance against these invaders, Hiiro returns to Raja four days later and swears his loyalty to Towa.
In the meantime, Rimuru, having just defeated Clayman and ascended to the rank of a revered Demon Lord, learns from Souei about an imminent threat targeting Geld and his Orc kin. As Hiiro clashes with the Orcs alongside his two allies from Raja, Geld comes to realize that Hiiro seeks retribution against all of his kind. Faced with this revelation, he drops his weapons and resigns himself to his tragic fate at Hiiro's hands. Yet, Benimaru intervenes in a desperate bid to save Geld, calming Hiiro down. In an emotional reunion, Hiiro reveals he is actually Benimaru's childhood friend, leading to a heartfelt reconciliation with Geld once he discovers that the Orcs are no longer his enemies.
During an extravagant feast hosted by Rimuru, Hiiro unveils an important mission: he has come to the Jura Tempest Federation as Raja's envoy to seek permission to farm a portion of the stunning Great Jura Forest to provide food for his kingdom. He also conveys troubling news that Queen Towa is afflicted by a dangerous Curse Poison, a consequence of utilizing the tiara’s power to cleanse a toxic lake tainted by pollutants from Raja's gold mines. Compelled by Hiiro's plight, Rimuru resolves to visit the suffering kingdom to extend his assistance in their time of crisis.
Upon arriving in Raja, Rimuru, Benimaru, Shion, Shuna, and Ranga are confronted with a dire scenario. Towa, the kingdom's princess, lies gravely ill, her health deteriorated by the lake’s contaminants. This revelation incites Lacua, the devious merchant behind the plot, who seeks to incite another disaster to gain favor with the sinister Primordial demon, Violet.
In a cunning maneuver, Lacua tricks Hiiro into consuming a Curse Orb, misleading him with false promises of transferring Towa's soul into his intact body. Rimuru pursues Lacua aggressively, while Benimaru engages Hiiro in a fierce battle, and Shuna vigilantly protects the sick Towa. Meanwhile, Diablo confronts Violet, uncovering a complex narrative of betrayal and ancient pacts. The demon reveals that she had presented the tiara and the magic circle to the former queen of Raja as a component of a sinister game; should the bearer fall victim to the Curse Poison, Violet is allowed to reclaim life by overtaking their body.
As the stakes escalate, Rimuru and his friends must band together against the rising threat, even as Diablo negotiates terms with Violet to ensure the safety of Raja while cutting ties between the demon and Towa's royal lineage. Her body transforms into a vessel for the dark energies of the Curse Poison, ultimately fading into nothingness. However, in a surprising twist, Violet intervenes, using her remarkable abilities to resurrect Towa as a means of atonement for the misdeeds of her dutiful subordinate.
Against this chaotic background, Rimuru seizes the moment to forge a partnership with Tempest's ruling council, promising his kingdom’s resources in reconstruction efforts in exchange for access to their rich iron ore. Upon his return to Tempest, Rimuru is greeted by an unsettling sight: the once-flourishing city lies in ruins, its devastation a direct consequence of the reckless antics of Veldora and Milim. With a heavy heart, Rimuru takes it upon himself to serve justice to these unruly troublemakers before yielding to his own fatigue, feeling his strength finally ebb away.
