In the years that follow, relationships flourish in new forms: Evie remains with Doug, Carlos grows closer to Jane, Mal and Ben become engaged, Jay and Gil plan adventures around the globe, and Audrey—having learned hard lessons—appears to gravitate toward Harry after Uma’s rejection. A mid-credits scene then shows Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos racing across the new bridge to reunite with their families on the Isle, a sign that the two formerly divided worlds have begun to heal.
